8. A recovering Batman

Episode: “Batman’s Back, Man

While we’re on this episode, we have to bring up Batman’s recovery episode. Everyone thinks that Batman can recover from anything in a short amount of time. He can’t. We sometimes forget that he’s human. This was highlighted here.

After being out of commission for so long, Batman attempted to save Gotham with a fancy Iron Man-like suit of armor. It may have gone well if his first opponent wasn’t Bane. Bane beat the living daylights out of Batman. It was so bad that Batman’s legs were going in the wrong direction. If not for Batgirl and Macaroni (Alfred Pennyworth) Batman would have been killed.

We all adore Batman. He’s one of the greatest heroes of all time. Nonetheless, it’s great when this show finds innovative ways to make fun of him. This episode did a flawless job of that. Maybe the best part was Alfred. This was the first time we got to see him in-length and it was stupendous. Watching him put Bruce Wayne in his place will always be funny. Plus, his costume was ridiculous. Yes, it was functional, but that doesn’t make it any less silly. We also got to see Batman sit down in a chair while talking to Commissioner Gordon. You gotta love it.
