Batman Beyond and 5 other movies we’d like to see in the DCEU

The DCEU continues to grow exponentially day-by-day. The past few months have seen new projects either in development for a theatrical release, or join the blocks for the DC Universe and HBO Max streaming services.

There are countless properties which DC has at their disposal and when it comes to which of those properties they should consider adding to their big-screen line-up next, here’s what we hope to see in the future:

Batman Beyond

Michael Keaton is set to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne for the big screen soon, but rumor on the street is that he’ll be doing so for a Batman Beyond adaptation. Furthermore, per reports from Griffin Schiller of ThePlaylist and DC insider Daniel Richtman (h/t Full Circle Media), Warner Bros. has a Batman Beyond film in development now. If you ask most Beyond fans, this is a long time coming.

Despite only lasting three seasons, the Batman: The Animated Series spinoff was a quick fan favorite and has gained a cult following over the years. When the show first debuted for television in 1999, the concept of an old Bruce Wayne mentoring his successor was always viewed as a one that was ripe for movie franchise material, but in over 20 years, a movie adaptation never came to fruition.

Now, with an actual former Batman actor rumored to reprise his role to show Terry McGinnis the ropes, that dream may finally become a reality.
