This week, a new episode of DC’s Stargirl hits screens. The DC Universe original series has been entertaining fans on both the streaming service and The CW over the past nine weeks. Now it returns with another episode.
Since the show began, Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) has found a new purpose in Blue Valley, Nebraska. Her move was initially an unhappy one, but she’s finally accepted her stepfather Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson) because he helped her realize that the world needed heroes to stop the Injustice Society of America.
Courtney’s transformation into Stargirl has seen her recruit new members of the next generation of the JSA. Together, they fight for justice and will stop at nothing to stop the ISA.

The latest episode pulled a shocking swerve. Just as Courtney discovered that her mother’s boss, Jordan Mahkent (Neil Jackson), was the ISA villain Icicle, she was interrupted by Barbara (Amy Smart) herself. Upon witnessing the Cosmic Staff in action, Barbara demanded an explanation. And now, it’s safe to say that both Courtney and Pat have a lot of explaining to do – to both her and Mike (Trae Romano).
How will Barbara react to her daughter and husband’s heroics? Is it the end for Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E.? “Brainwave Jr.” promises answers, as well as furthering Henry King Jr.’s (Jake Austin Walker) possible descent into villany and it will even see the JSA take on Dragon King (Nelson Lee).
