With season 6 finished, we all eagerly await The Flash season 7, so here’s everything you need to know about it.

The Flash season 7 is on the minds of many Arrowverse fans. Why? Well, because the show’s sixth season concluded earlier than expected. And now, we’re all eagerly anticipating the seventh.

The previous offering saw Team Flash battle the formidable Mirror Master, Eva McCulloch (Efrat Dor), but due to everything going on in the world, it never got the chance to finish out that storyline before its premature finale.

Below, you’ll find all the up-to-date information you need about The Flash season 7, its premiere on The CW, its cast, any trailers and more.

The Flash season 7 premiere date

As of now, The Flash season 7 will premiere on February 23, 2020 where it will air in its usual Tuesday slot at 8:00 p.m. It will be accompanied by Arrowverse newcomer Superman & Lois.

The Flash normally arrives on The CW for a new season (along with the rest of the Arrowverse shows) in the first or second week of October. However, due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus forcing the shutdown of Hollywood, things will be rather different this year.

The Flash season 7 cast

As nothing bad happened to the regular characters on The Flash‘s season 6 finale, the cast for season 7 will mostly look the same. However, there will be some glaring changes.

Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Tom Cavanagh will all reprise their respective roles as Barry Allen/The Flash, Iris West-Allen, Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Cisco Ramon, Joe West, Cecile Horton and Harrison Wells/Reverse-Flash.

They will be joined by new full-time additions Brandon McKnight and Kayla Compton – both of whom reprise their supporting roles as Chester P. Runk and Allegra Garcia respectively.

Former regular Hartley Sawyer will not be returning as Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man.

The Flash season 7 trailer

The cast and crew of The Flash have not been able to return to production in Vancouver, BC  until recently because of the pandemic and thus, no major trailer has been released – simply because there’s not much new footage.

However, at DC FanDome, there was an exclusive look at the Season 7 premiere because most of that episode was already filmed before production was shut down.

What is The Flash season 7 about?

Very little is known about the plot of The Flash season 7 as of right now, but one thing that we can tell you is that at least the first three episodes will be focused on Eva McCulloch’s revenge-driven return as Mirror Master – the reason being that they’re the leftover episodes that were supposed to conclude season 6.

As for what the season’s primary narrative is? That remains a mystery for now. That said, it is expected to feature some game-changing cliffhanger that will include the Reverse-Flash (as this was meant to be season 6’s original finale).

Furthermore, showrunner Eric Wallace revealed that it will continue to feature his revolutionary “graphic novel” approach, meaning that it will entail at least two different major narratives. And speaking of what it could entail, the synopsis teases a game-changing threat.

Check out The Flash season 7’s official synopsis here:

"After a thrilling cliffhanger last season which saw the new Mirror Master (Efrat Dor) victorious and still-at-large in Central City, The Flash must regroup in order to stop her and find a way to make contact with his missing wife, Iris West-Allen. With help from the rest of Team Flash…Flash will ultimately defeat Mirror Master. But in doing so, he’ll also unleash an even more powerful and devastating threat on Central City: one that threatens to tear his team—and his marriage—apart."
