Rumor: Titans season 3 to stream on both DC Universe and HBO Max
A new rumor suggests that Titans season 3 will be streaming on both DC Universe and on HBO Max.
With the status of the DC-exclusive streaming service, DC Universe, still up in the air (not-to-mention the fact that it recently ended its yearly subscription option); many have been concerned that Titans season 3 will see the show find a new home domestically or (worst-case scenario) be involuntarily cancelled after the third season.
However, the show might actually follow in the footsteps of its DC Universe spin-off Doom Patrol. As reported by Full Circle, a new rumor from the Titans Facebook Group suggests that DC’s Titans season 3 is coming to both DC Universe and HBO Max.
Titans is not the only original series that will join the HBO Max library. As already mentioned, Doom Patrol season 2 premiered on both that service and its original home of DC Universe and both seasons of acclaimed animated series Harley Quinn will soon make their way to HBO Max as well.
More from DC Universe
- James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy casts more major DC characters
- New Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer pushes Arthur to his limits
- 7 actors who could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Universe
- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will have a battle pass (and that’s a bad sign)
- Harley Quinn renewed for a fifth season on Max (and it’s well-deserved)
Nothing has been confirmed by DC/HBO Max nor parent company WarnerMedia on whether Titans season 3 will also premiere on HBO Max, so it’s worth taking this rumor with a pinch of salt for now. Titans is distributed on Netflix internationally, so it will be interesting to find out if HBO Max would also have to reach a deal with the streamer.
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Ryan Potter, Curran Walters and Conor Leslie. Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman and Greg Berlanti write the series. Johns, Goldsman, Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Greg Walker and John Fawcett are executive producers. Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions produce the series in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Titans seasons 1 and 2 are on DC Universe in the U.S. and Netflix internationally. Titans season 3 may premiere during the fall of 2020 but that is not yet certain.
