This could be the very thing that kills them. There are too many secrets floating around Krakoa. We’ve already discussed Beast’s secrecy, but there’s also the information on how Krakoa was formed that could take everything down.

In 2019 we found out that Moira Mactaggert is a mutant. She has the ability to begin a new life with all of the knowledge of her previous one. With this knowledge, she helped create Krakoa. It took her dying multiple times, but it eventually worked. The problem is, no one can know about this. If anyone finds out about Moira it could destroy their utopia – especially if and when Mystique discovers this secret.

Mystique was promised that her wife Destiny would be brought back from the dead – a promise that can’t be kept. Destiny has a way of seeing Moira differently. She also knows that Moira’s death would destroy Krakoa and everything they’ve accomplished. Here’s the kicker: Before she died, Destiny told Mystique that if they can’t or won’t bring her back, she should burn Krakoa to the ground.

We know Mystique is both willing and able to do this. If she finds out what’s going on, she will literally burn it all down. Since Xavier and Magneto are aware they can’t resurrect Destiny, Mystique may go through with it. If Mystique fails, however, she could end up right next to Sabretooth in Krakoan “jail.”
