Stargirl’s season 1 finale provided plenty of thrills, but it was also rocked by three jaw-dropping deaths. Major spoilers for Stargirl season 1, episode 13 follow.

Fans waited for 12 weeks to see how Stargirl‘s debut season would come to an end and it’s safe to say that the DC Universe/CW series did not disappoint.

“Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. Part Two” picked up exactly where last week’s installment left off, finding Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl (Brec Bassinger), Yolanda Montez/Wildcat II (Yvette Monreal), Rick Tyler/Hourman Jr. (Cameron Gellman) and Beth Chapel/Dr. Mid-Nite II (Anjelika Washington) at the mercy of the Injustice Society’s evil plot to control the adult minds in America.

However, with the help of Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson), Justin/Shining Knight (Mark Ashworth), Barbara Whitmore (Amy Smart) and Mike Dugan (Trae Romano), the Justice Society of America successfully managed to defeat the ISA and save Blue Valley.

However, that final battle came with three jaw-dropping deaths.

Who died in Stargirl’s season 1 finale?

It was a bad day to be the Injustice Society, that’s for sure. During the midst of their battle, they suffered a harrowing beating at the hands of the impressive JSA, but three of the villains met a grizzly end.

More from Arrowverse

Dragon King/Dr. Ito (Nelson Lee) was unexpectedly killed by his own daughter Cindy Burman/Shiv (Meg DeLacy) when he accidentally let her out of her prison in the midst of the showdown. But don’t expect Shiv to have a change of heart as she immediately set her sights on Stargirl and attempted to kill her before she was blasted away by the Cosmic Staff.

Brainwave (Christopher James Baker) met the most shocking demise of all. Tricking us all into thinking he was actually his resurrected son Henry King Jr. (Jake Austin Walker), he couldn’t fool Wildcat – who slashed his throat the moment that she suspected it was him, getting revenge on the man who took her ex-boyfriend away from her.

That left Jordan Mahkent/Icicle (Neil Jackson) – who, after a battle with Stargirl above Blue Valley ended up getting smashed into thousands of pieces when Mike unexpectedly ran through him in a truck – definitively ending the ISA’s reign of terror.
