This week, a new episode of Stargirl arrives on DC Universe and The CW. It’s not just any episode though. It’s the season finale.
A new arrival of the TV season, Stargirl has been incredibly well-received by both fans and critics. It has entertained fans throughout the summer and, now, we can all look forward to what promises to be an epic season finale.
Set in a parallel dimension in the Arrowverse, the show’s debut season has followed Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) and her family after they move to Blue Valley, Nebraska. Upon realizing that her goofy stepfather, Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson), used to be part of the Justice Society of America, she is chosen by Starman’s (Joel McHale) Cosmic Staff to be his successor.

Becoming Stargirl, Courtney has crafted her own JSA, featuring her friends Yolanda Montez/Wildcat (Yvette Monreal), Rick Tyler/Hourman (Cameron Gellman) and Beth Chapel/Dr. Mid-Nite (Anjelika Washington). And after building towards it all season, the new generation of heroes – with the help of Pat in his trademark robot S.T.R.I.P.E. and Justin/Shining Knight (Mark Ashworth)- will take on the Injustice Society.
As we saw in last week’s Part One of the finale, the ISA kicked off their nefarious scheme as Brainwave (Christopher James Baker) attempted to control the minds of millions of people while Icicle (Neil Jackson) ordered the team to kill Courtney, her mother Barbara Whitmore (Amy Smart), Pat and his son Mike (Trae Romano). The heroes survived and now look to stop the ISA once and for all in the finale.
