A new rumor suggests that Alison Brie could have been already cast as the lead in the She-Hulk Disney Plus series.

There is a new rumor coming from renowned Hollywood scooper Mikey Sutton (via Bounding into Comics) that Community alum, Alison Brie, may be closer to the final stretch of casting than anyone actually thought in the She-Hulk original series for Disney Plus. Some might say she could have already been cast as Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk.

Before going any further, Sutton has broken a lot of news in the past, but until officially confirmed, this is still classified as a rumor.

Recently, Brie revealed how she has kept up with updates on the show and she has been, apparently, in the running for a while. But Sutton does have something to say about that, believing she may have already been cast.

On the Everything Always channel on YouTube, Sutton was quoted by the host Michael Roman as stating that “[Alison Brie] has either signed already or is on the brink of becoming” the green-skinned female alter-ego of the hero in question. Sutton went on to add:

"“One source has told me that Brie has agreed to a deal. There is no official announcement yet but this is the same insider who leaked to me that Brie Larson has discussed being Captain Marvel with Kevin Feige shortly after she won an Oscar.”"

On the subject of what She-Hulk could potentially look like in the Marvel Studios series, she may be entirely CGI. Most likely Brie, if indeed cast, will be providing motion capture for the CGI character like Mark Ruffalo did for the Hulk in the MCU films – which although interesting is not quite surprising.

"“Her intelligence, her buoyant personality, her comic-timing – she’s Jennifer. Like Mark Ruffalo, CGI will take over once she’s She-Hulk but Brie’s charm will be the heart beneath the FX.”"

Considering that She-Hulk is at most a six-to-eight episode miniseries, Disney/Marvel are putting a lot into the production, as each Disney Plus series is being approached like six-hour films in terms of scale – which is why the decision to have a fully rendered CGI character makes sense. So you are probably looking at a very expensive season.
