Dwayne The Rock Johnson unveils the first look at Black Adam before DC Fandome
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has unveiled a teaser for his upcoming Black Adam movie prior to DC Fandome.
Teth Adam is coming. The two-day DC Fandome event with kick off with movie panels and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be joining the mass of big names to promote upcoming films within the DCEU abs he appears to promote Black Adam – which is due for release on December 22, 2021.
Variety reports that the former WWE wrestler posted a teaser video to his Instagram account in preparation for this weekend’s event.
In his post, Johnson wrote:
"The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change. BLACK ADAM arrives TOMORROW at #DCFandome. Personally, I salute my Warner Bros & DC Partners for creating this historic opportunity for fans to absorb our entire DC UNIVERSE while we all continue to manage the challenges of COVID. Well done. The man in black is coming to crush them all. #BLACKADAMMore from DCEUNew Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer pushes Arthur to his limits7 actors who could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC UniverseJames Gunn gives interesting update of Superman and Supergirl movies at DC StudiosAll 7 Wonder Woman actresses ranked from worst to bestAll 8 Black Canary actresses ranked from worst to best"
We could not be more excited to see what he tells us about Black Adam. The film will be a spin-off to Shazam! before the two come face-to-face in a potential future movie. The character was indirectly mentioned in the Zachary Levi-led superhero flick as the Wizard’s student that went rogue. There is not a lot of information on the film available other than the fact that various members of the Justice Society of America are expected to make an appearance.
Other characters to appear in the film include: Arianna Tomaz/Isis, Albert Rothstein/Atom Smasher (who will be played by Noah Centineo), Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Doctor Fate.
It is unclear when the film will take place, before or after the events of Shazam! Though, it might be possible that there is a combination of both where the main events of the movie take place during the present day while there are flashbacks explaining how Teth-Adam became who he is today. Hopefully, the Black Adam panel will clear some of that up for us.
