Barbara Gordon: Bargirl

In Arkham Knight, Barbara Gordon appeared in her Oracle incarnation. Contrary to what the uniformed may think, she was one of the most formidable characters in the game. She didn’t have to kick someone in the face to shut things down and, if we’re being honest, a lot of what Batman did couldn’t have been done without her. She was fearless in the face of danger.

In Gotham Knights, however, she will appear in her more famous Batgirl incanration with all of the fighting skills that she’s used in the comics. That said, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still see all of the elements that made her so formidable as Oracle as well.

In DC Comics, Batgirl never stopped using her brain. Sure, she could knock someone’s teeth out with a single punch, but that’s not all she is. In fact, she seems to like being behind the computer more than the Batgirl mask.

Gotham Knights has to show her being the computer genius fans know and love. Hacking computers was a big part of the Arkham game series. It should remain this way throughout the new franchise as well. Tim Drake is no slouch, sure, but Barbara is better when it comes to things like this.

When we’re faced with getting information or trying to outsmart someone like Riddler, Batgirl should be the one we go to. And she should use the Oracle eye as well when she defeats someone online.
