Jason Todd: Red Hood

This is the character this writer is most excited to use. Red Hood is my favorite DC Comics character. He’s a complex personality full of anger and resentment for Bruce Wayne. But he also has just as much respect for him as well.

Red Hood isn’t as intelligent as the teammates featured on this list. What he has over them is the willingness to be more ruthless than all of them combined. That may not seem like a plus, but it is. The criminals of Gotham know that Red Hood doesn’t have a line in the sand. This is a new time for Jason Todd and we may need to see something different.

As much as Jason hated Bruce, he loved him. With Bruce dead, Jason may have to fight the urge to  permanently put down criminals who have no hope of redemption. It isn’t just the memory of Bruce that will stop him. Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl are all against killing. They’re going to be on Jason every step of the way. It’ll be interesting to see how they go about allowing Jason into their circle. They may not want him to kill, but that doesn’t mean he won’t. We’ll have to keep a close eye on this.

We should also pay attention to Jason’s ability to form a plan. He isn’t the tech-guy, but he’s an underrated planner. Some of his ideas can be dangerous and foolhardy, but they get the job done. We may see some of this as well.
