Red Daughter of Krypton

Like most every comic book character, it’s probably crossed your mind about which Lantern Corps they would join if a Lantern ring came to them. Well, we get that answer for the Girl of Steel in this New 52 arc and well, the answer unsurprisingly for Kara is that she would be a Red Lantern.

As this arc doesn’t take place long after her landing on Earth and learning about Krypton, it makes complete sense that she would be filled with rage and a Red ring would be drawn to her.

There are several things really fun about this arc. First off is the fact that we get to see Kara in a more cosmic setting rather than seeing her simply Earth-bound. It’s fun to see her out in the cosmos rather than just seeing her trying to adjust to her life on Earth. That gets stale after a while, so it’s nice to see her not on Earth.

But really, it’s fun to see Kara fight against her rage and anger, which is being enhanced by her status as a Red Lantern, in order to still be the hero that she knows she is. A Red Lantern ring constantly brings out the worst in its wearers so to see Kara constantly fighting against that, its hard not to feel endeared to her.

Really, these five entries are only scratching the surface of Supergirl stories, but are nice places to get you started.
