The Umbrella Academy: 5 best moments of season 2
The Dance Scene
Most of us would agree that one of the absolute best scenes to come out of season 1 – and, frankly, the show as a whole thus far – was the dance number from the very first episode. “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tiffany was enough to get each of the adopted Umbrella Academy siblings to move their glutes like nobody else was watching or dancing.
On top of giving us an early insight into each member’s personalities and allowing the characters to dance like the kids their father never allowed them to be, it was just an all-around fun dance number. So good that the folks behind the scenes had to do it all over again for season 2.
This time around, Sam Cooke’s “Twistin’ the Night Away” is the diddy of choice. Rather than the whole family, we just get Klaus, Allison and Vanya. And rather than a horde of characters maniacally twisting their bodies as if no one were watching, this trio’s version was a bit more of a choreographed doo-wop.
Much like the moment in the previous season, it’s just a fun break from all of the gruesome murder plots going on in the background.
