A new beginning for Batwoman season 2

There has been a lot of buzz over Batwoman season 2. The show completed its run back in May, but that was after production on it – and the vast majority of TV shows and films – was shut down due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. The remaining episodes aired on TV with a cliffhanger serviceable enough to keep fans hooked, but then everything changed in a few days.

More from Arrowverse

The show’s star Ruby Rose made an unexpected departure, leaving the future of the series in doubt. That was followed by weeks of uncertainty as fans speculated as to whether or not Kate Kane would be recast for the second season.

However, it was subsequently revealed that a new character would be created to take over the mantle and that Batwoman would rise again. That new character is named Ryan Wilder. Soon afterwards, it was revealed that Javicia Leslie would be picking up the cowl and the red wig.

The show was originally supposed to return to The CW in October of this year but due to the global pandemic, it will now return in January 2021 instead. And fans are undoubtedly thrilled to hear that production can finally resume.
