Remembering Chadwick Boseman’s best Marvel moments
Side by side with M’Baku
One alliance we never thought we’d see is the camaraderie between T’Challa and M’Baku. In the couple of years since the events of Black Panther, the two leaders and their tribes are allies and refer to each other as ‘brother’. This is one of the moments that made us just go “Aww!” Honestly, this friendship would’ve been better than having W’Kabi as the BFF.
It appears that M’Baku has taken the place of W’Kabi who was once T’Challa’s best friend until Klaue evaded capture.
The brief scene of Chadwick Boseman and Winston Duke standing together made our hearts do a happy dance as it was nice to see the growth of the characters being portrayed by two terrific actors. Though it’s also sad too as it would be the second-last movie that Boseman would play T’Challa and the last time we’d see an interaction between the two Wakandan leaders.
“No place to die.”
One of T’Challa’s final Marvel moments in Avengers: Infinity War is just after Thanos’ snap and he goes to help Okoye who has been injured – only he disappears in a cloud of black ash. This leaves the leader of the Dora Milaje in a state of confusion and shock as she does not know what is going on.
This moment is one of the most gut-wrenching in Infinity War given we didn’t know T’Challa was going to die. While we knew he would be back in Avengers: Endgame, this scene is the last proper scene Chadwick would have in the MCU where he’d be speaking face-to-face with another character/actor.
Battle for Earth
T’Challa returns alongside the other heroes who were snapped away by Thanos five years previously in the closing battle of Avengers: Endgame. He stands with Shuri, Okoye and their whole army of Wakandans who wanted to stop the Mad Titan from destroying the world and reshaping it to his liking. Of all the amazing Marvel moments in Endgame, this was the one that had me smiling because three of my favourite characters had returned for the fight.
This is one of the Marvel moments that made us excited about all the potential storylines coming up for T’Challa in the future of the MCU. Seeing Chadwick take on the role that we, the fans, have come to love in such an action-packed scene makes us cherish those memories even more.
