T’Challa offers to heal N’Jadaka

During the climax of Black Panther, T’Challa mortally wounds his cousin but offers to heal him, only to be rejected because Killmonger couldn’t live with being locked up and would’ve rather died. Of all the memorable Marvel moments in the film, this one stands out because it shows how the King of Wakanda goes from wanting to follow the traditions of previous monarchs to that of doing something that was above the norm.

Chadwick shows T’Challa’s kindness and willingness to forgive his long forgotten relative despite everything he has done.

T’Challa takes Shuri to America

Okay, we mentioned all of Chadwick Boseman’s scenes with Letitia Wright earlier, but there’s a reason this one deserved its own mention.

T’Challa’s final scene with his sister in Black Panther comes when he takes Shuri to America for the first time and she complains that she’d expected him to take her to Coachella or Disneyland. Instead, he takes her to the apartment complex in California where their father killed their uncle.

Shuri tells her brother that the building is being torn down and that it is a good thing. T’Challa informs her that it is not being destroyed and that he bought it and two other buildings for a new Wakandan International Outreach Centre. He then reveals to her that she will be in charge of science and information part while Nakia handle the social part.

Chadwick’s performance in this moment is a reminder of how far T’Challa has come since Captain America: Civil War where he went from wanting revenge to instilling the idea of sharing Wakanda with the world.
