Legends of Tomorrow season 6 reveals the identity of its newest Legend
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 6 will be introducing fans to a new Legend and fans might recognize them.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has seen its titular crew of hapless heroes tackle time demons, self-centred tyrants, immortal mystics and even a ton of magical creatures, but Legends of Tomorrow season 6 will see them tackle their most unnerving challenge yet: Aliens.
This won’t be the first time that the Arrowverse heroes have battled aliens – they teamed up with the Green Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl to stop the Dominators in 2016’s Invasion! crossover – but it will be arguably even bigger than that as the battle will take place across the whole season.
But it’s all good, because they’ll be receiving help from a new Legend who just so happens to have a heap of experience in that area. Meet alien expert Esperanza “Spooner” Cruz.
As revealed by TVLine ahead of DC FanDome, Cruz will be portrayed by Chicago P.D. star Lisseth Chavez – who will appear in a series regular capacity, meaning that she won’t be returning to NBC’s police series for its eighth season.
Legends of Tomorrow season 6 introduces us to a new Legend
You might remember that the show’s fifth season concluded with White Canary, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), getting abducted by aliens, so it was a given that they were going to feature in some capacity.

It was subsequently revealed that the creatures would serve as the Big Bads and that the season would revolve around the Legends’ attempts to stop a host of creatures misplaced throughout the timeline. It was also confirmed that a new Legend would come on-board with expertise who could help the crew take them down. And that’s where Esperanza comes in.
She will board the Waverider and help the Legends stop the alien threat once and for all. And, if she’s anything like the rest of the Legends, she’s going to have her own quirks that fans will instantly fall in love with.
