Batman issue 100: What we can expect and what may happen

Bruce Wayne is Batman

At the end of City of Bane, we saw Joker hearing the news that Superman revealed his secret identity. He took this and figured that revealing who Batman is to the world may be fun. Throughout The Joker War, Joker has made it a point to call Batman Bruce; letting The Dark Knight know that he’s aware of who he really is. In issue No. 99, he even brought back a perverse version of Alfred. All of this is leading to the world knowing that Bruce Wayne is the Dark Knight.

This won’t affect Batman’s world as much as you think. Sure, there is going to be a transitional period. However, as we saw in Injustice, Batman’s life didn’t change too much. After a while, his villains stopped coming after him. The same thing will happen here.

Bruce’s life will be turned upside down for sure, but eventually, he’ll find a way to tell everyone to never come after the people he loves. Don’t be shocked if this turns into something similar to Daredevil where the world knows who he is, but Bruce still disputes it. No matter how it happens, the world is going to know the truth. The best part will definitely be seeing how everyone from Harvey Dent to Commissioner Harvey Bullock reacts to the news.
