Comic Books: 7 major moments comic book fans should know about (September)

Franklin Richards in Krakoa
Comic Book: Fantastic Four No. 24
Even though his parents are Sue Storm and Reed Richards, people often forget that Franklin Richards is a mutant. An omega level one at that. Now, his powers are depleted every time he uses them. After X-Men/Fantastic Four, Franklin was allowed to visit Krakoa. He could be with his own people. Maybe even fix the problem with his powers. In the most recent Fantastic Four comic book, Franklin was late for dinner. He was caught up playing games with his friends in Krakoa. He even got his ears pierced while there. Something his mother was not happy about.
Why is this important?
It wasn’t certain whether or not the crossover was going to have any ramifications on the Fantastic Four’s continuity. Apparently, it will. Franklin is a teenager. He’ll do all the normal things teenagers do. He’ll stay out late, sneak out of the house, and disobey his parents. What happens when the X-Men need his help? Sue and Reed may say no. Knowing Franklin, he’ll disobey them. We’re going to see Franklin in Krakoa more and more. The question is how his family is going to react. Krakoa isn’t exactly safe. Reed and Sue aren’t anti-mutant. They’re pro-keeping their family safe.
