This Tuesday, Swamp Thing season 1 debuts on The CW. The former DC Universe series has been given a second life of sorts on the network and will kick off its run this October.
Swamp Thing initially ran on DC Universe for a critically-acclaimed 10-episode run. Unfortunately, in spite of that critical acclaim and an overwhelmingly positive fan response, the service cancelled the show a week after its premiere without any explanation.
The DC Comics show follows Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) as she returns to Louisiana to investigate the swamps. However, things aren’t what they seem as the seemingly supernatural powers of the swamp send something both horrifying and heroic back.

The CW picked the short-lived show up for broadcast because of the fact that their typical superhero programming – and essentially all of their original programming bar Supernatural – remains off-air due to the delays caused by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
The show will air on Tuesday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET and the pilot episode will be a special 90 minutes to accommodate the fact that the DC Universe original is of a longer run-time than a typical 40-minute network TV series.

How to watch Swamp Thing season 1, episode 1
As Swamp Thing already streamed on DC Universe last year, the whole season is available to watch on it. You can watch it on The CW and, presumably, like its other shows, it will be added to CWTV the next day.
