Ant-Man (Eric O’Grady)

Some heroes are born from unfortunate accidents. A major moment changes who they are and they take an oath to do what’s right. Then there’s Eric O’Grady. One of the worst people in Marvel Comics. A man who pushed his best friend in front of incoming fire. Later, O’Grady tried to have sex with his dead best friend’s ex on his grave. Yes, he’s that disgusting.

As time went on, Eric O’Grady redeemed himself. He helped Paladin stop Osborn from getting the Spear of Odin. Later, he sacrificed his life while being an Avenger. He finally made up for all the terrible things he did. That ended his time as a hero, but not as a character. O’Grady came back as a Life Model Decoy (LMD) and a villain who often teamed with Taskmaster.

This would be the ideal role for Jensen Ackles. He can display all of his acting skills in one shot. Terrible, funny, action hero/villain, and so much more. We know that Ant-Man 3 may have Kang the Conqueror, but what happens after that? This writer says bring in Eric O’Grady to be the deplorable and somehow likable hero we’ve seen in the comics. A change that would reinvent the Ant-Man franchise. Jensen Ackles leading the way could be a move that we need.
