She-Hulk: 5 villains who must appear in the Disney Plus TV show
By Mark Lynch
Titania
We’ve discussed a character who can challenge Jennifer Walters on an intellectual level (The Leader). Then we got into Jazinda – someone who will fight She-Hulk but can’t go blow for blow with her. because, eventually, She-Hulk’s power will give her the victory. At some point, she’ll have to fight someone who can hit her as hard as she hits. The easiest pick for that is Titania – another character who, like Jazinda, may have a change in her origin to fit the television platform.
In the comics, Titania made her first appearance in Secret Wars back in 1984. It’s going to be a while before that story happens in the MCU. That means it doesn’t need to be where she debuts. There are dozens of ways that she could get her powers. Experimentation is an easy one, for instance. As Mary MacPherran (Titania) was small growing up, she could be portrayed as someone who longed to be bigger. An experiment that she’d want so she’d never feel weak and small ever again.
The MCU needs more strong women and villains. Titania solves both of these. She can be someone with the power to fight She-Hulk and other MCU heroes and teams down the line. With the Masters of Evil or just with her Husband Crusher Creel (the Absorbing Man), Titania has survived fighting Hercules, The Thing, and Thor. A very impressive resumé.
