Fans are eager to find out all they can about the planned Arrow spin-off, so here’s everything you need to know about Green Arrow and The Canaries.

Green Arrow and The Canaries is the name of the planned Arrow spin-off. It aired its debut episode in January of last year and ever since, fans have been eager to hear if The CW were going to pick the new Arrowverse series up for a full season.

The network was strangely quiet in regards to the show’s fate for some time but that didn’t stop fans from showing their interest, support and desire for it.

Below, you’ll find all the up-to-date information you need about Green Arrow and The Canaries season 1, its premiere on The CW, its cast, any trailers and more.

Has Green Arrow and The Canaries been picked up?

Green Arrow and The Canaries has unfortunately not been picked up by The CW. In spite of receiving critical acclaim and pulling in season-high viewing figures, the network cancelled plans and decided to pass on the show.

This is more than likely down to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus which has put much on the major TV and film productions on hold.

Green Arrow and The Canaries premiere date

Unfortunately there is no longer any premiere date for the show as The CW has passed on it and will no longer be moving forward with it.

Green Arrow and The Canaries cast

Green Arrow and The Canaries would have been headlined by a trio of Arrow ladies as the show’s leading lady Katie Cassidy would reprise her role as Laurel Lance/Black Canary/Black Siren while Juliana Harkavy would also return as Dinah Drake/Black Canary and Katherine McNamara would reprise her role as Mia Queen/Green Arrow.

If the show had been picked up, those heroes would have presumably been joined by Ben Lewis, Joseph David Jones and Andrea Sixtos – all of whom would have reprised their roles as William Clayton-Queen, Connor Hawke and Zoe Ramirez. We may also have seen Charlie Barnett return in a recurring capacity as John Diggle Jr./JJ/Deathstroke II.
