Swamp Thing was a major hit for DC Universe but the streaming service’s sudden decision to cancel it caught fans off-guard. A year later, it makes even less sense. Especially when you factor in the success it has enjoyed on The CW.
Since the network TV run began, the show has proven to be a massive ratings success. Swamp Thing garnered The CW ratings so high that it hasn’t seen numbers like that since Stargirl‘s TV debut on the network. Now, there are even rumors of a second season.

The DC Comics series focuses on Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed). Abby is now a CDC doctor who returns home to Marais, Louisiana to investigate a disease outbreak in the swamp. The man who attempted to help her, Alec Holland (Andy Bean), was mortally wounded and the swamp saved his life, turning him into Swamp Thing.
The latest episode saw Abby come face to face with Swamp Thing as the two of them saved Suzie Coyle (Elle Graham). Now, the two are set to officially reunite in “He Speaks”.

As Swamp Thing already streamed on DC Universe last year, the whole season is available to watch on it. You can watch it on The CW and, like its other shows, it will be added to CWTV the next day.
