This Tuesday, a new episode of Swamp Thing airs on The CW. The DC Universe original series has been enjoying a successful rebroadcast on the network and now it’s back with another episode.
Swamp Thing has focused on Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) and her return to the town of Marais in Louisiana. However, the return soon leads her across an angry swamp – that actually saves the life of Alec Holland (Andy Bean) and turns him into the creature known only as Swamp Thing.
The previous episode saw Abby become aware of Swamp Thing’s identity. Alec was able to help the CDC doctor figure out how to stop the disease that was trying to kill those in town. But that’s not the end of the swamp’s story.

In the upcoming episode, “Darkness on the Edge of Town”, the swamp sends something else back into town that begins making town residents act a little strange. This behavior could have drastic consequences for those in Marais.
Swamp Thing has garnered consistently high ratings for The CW over the past couple of weeks and now fans are calling for the network to revive it for a second season. Rumor has it they may be considering it.
