Riverdale star KJ Apa has revealed the identity of his favorite character on the show and, honestly, he made a great choice.

KJ Apa has been playing Archie Andrews on the fan-favorite Archie Comics TV series Riverdale for four years now. The show has become a global phenomenon as it continually attracts viewers on The CW and garners new fans daily because of its international presence on Netflix. Another reason for its popularity? The characters.

Riverdale is full of eccentric characters who fans just can’t get enough of. From Jughead Jones to Cheryl Blossom, there are so many to love – and everybody has a favorite. Now the leading man himself has revealed who his favorite character is.

Who is KJ Apa’s favorite Riverdale character?

KJ Apa’s favorite character is none other than Kevin Keller. The star revealed his thoughts through a social media post as he posted a number of shots  on his Instagram story of the cast and crew of Riverdale filming a scene in the high school’s student lounge. One of the snaps was of actor Casey Cott filming a scene and Apa captioned it:

"“Love watching @caseycott. Kevin is my favorite character”."

Honestly, Apa made a great choice. Kevin has long been one of the most under-appreciated characters on the show. In spite of being a series regular, he hasn’t had anywhere near as much screen-time as some of his counterparts and, in many people’s minds, Cott was given more material in the shorter first season (when he hadn’t been promoted to regular status at this stage).

We love ourselves some Kevin Keller and, to be honest, who doesn’t?! And we’re hoping that we’ll see much more of him next season – especially as on-screen love interest Drew Ray Tanner has been promoted to series regular for season 5.
