The Boys: How would each character fare in the Marvel or DC Comics universes?
By Mark Lynch
Stan Edgar
Stan Edgar never breaks a sweat when he’s ordering around the world’s most powerful people. He also doesn’t raise his voice. He’s always calm and cool. It’s both admirable and kind of frightening. What kind of person doesn’t have any emotions when things get dire? The kind of person who doesn’t care about anything except the bottom line. And that line is keeping Vought International a billion dollar company. That emotionless demeanor is what keeps him both alive and in power. As he said to Butcher, he doesn’t have the luxury of lashing out like some “raging entitled maniac.”
You’d never know who Stan Edgar was. It doesn’t matter if he was in either the Marvel or the DC Comics universe. Stan Edgar doesn’t want to be on TV if he doesn’t have to. He’s content with knowing that his company is thriving and he can have his riches. Whenever we hear about the C.E.O.s of Roxxon or other companies, that means they’re about to be invaded by heroes. Lex Luthor is one of the few villains who’s managed to maintain his company despite being a known villain. Edgar would learn from the likes of him. You’d only hear his name in whispers and urban legends.
