Hughie

Remember the song, “One of these things is not like the other”? Well, if you look at The Boys, Hughie Campbell is the thing that doesn’t belong. Hughie is a genuinely good person. That’s not to say M.M. and Kimiko aren’t. It’s just that Hughie doesn’t have the dark side or the ability to go places that the others can. If Robin didn’t die, he’d have gone throughout the rest of his life content. He’d never have to know what supes are really like. But let’s say Robin dies and then he switches universes? More than likely, someone would be there to help him through it.

In both DC and Marvel Comics, there are great heroes. Superman is looked at as the greatest of them all. It isn’t just because of his powers. Superman has the ability to be a natural inspiration to people. As cliché as it is, he is a symbol of hope. Superman would take his time to help Hughie through his time of need. We’ve seen Superman help people avoid suicide, fix bikes, and take time to help some to the hospital. He’d make sure that Hughie never went down a dark path. Something that’s definitely better than what’s going on now.
