Black Lightning season 4 cast: Who’s in for season 4?

At this point, it seems that basically, every character will be returning for Season 4 of Black Lightning, with one notable exception (see next slide for details). Among the stars returning for another go-around are:

Cress Williams: As the star of the show, it just makes sense that Cress Williams will be back in his suit as the hero known as Black Lightning, also known as Jefferson Pierce. Considering our final scenes in season 3 included testimony to Congress about the metahuman children being created, it should be interesting to see how this plays out with Williams’ character going forward.

China Anne McClain: As the daughter of Black Lightning, Jennifer is a superhero in her own right and it will be interesting to see how her story continues moving forward. As the youngest daughter, she has her own drama to contend with and it will be interesting to see how all that plays into season 4.

Nafessa Williams: Playing Jefferson Pierce’s oldest daughter and the hero known as Thunder, Nafessa Williams will likely have an interesting storyline for season 4, especially after her wedding to Grace was crashed. We will have to wait to see how the series handles this drama and if a wedding eventually takes place.

Marvin “Krondon” Jones III: We expect to see Tobias Whale making a comeback, since he is on the run, and that means we will likely get more of Marvin “Krondon” Jones III. I expect Tobias to fight tooth and nail to reclaim his throne of villainy, and it will be fascinating to see if that plays out in Season 4.

Chantal Thuy: After recurring on the show since season 1, Chantal Thuy has been promoted to series regular heading into season 4 meaning fans can look forward to more of Grace Choi in the season ahead. It also means we should expect even more Thundergrace in season 4 which is something we can all celebrate!

Honestly, the list goes on as to who we expect to see returning to our screens, but it seems like these are the safest bet to include on a list of “who’s in” with other likely stars returning such as Christine Adams who plays the matriarch of the Pierce family (even if she and Jefferson are divorced) and Jordan Calloway who takes on the role of Painkiller.
