The Walking Dead spin-off has been renewed for a second season by AMC and here’s everything we know about The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond has kept TV viewers entertained over the past nine weeks as the Walking Dead spin-off filled the slot its predecessor usually holds on AMC. However, the show’s first season concluded with a two-part finale. With that, we await its second.

The previous season saw the Endlings make their way into the post-apocalyptic world in the hopes of figuring out who they are and, more importantly, finding someone they know. The finale took them closer to those goals.

Below, you’ll find all the up-to-date information you need about The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2, its premiere on AMC, its cast, any trailers and more.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 premiere date

The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 will premiere on AMC sometime in 2021. The exact release date has not been confirmed by the cable network as of yet but the second season’s existence was just recently.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 cast

The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 will once again star Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Hal Cumpston, Nicolas Cantu, Nico Torterella, Annet Mahendru and Julia Ormond. They will reprise their roles as Iris and Hope Bennett, Silas Plaskett, Elton Ortiz, Felix Carlucci, Jennifer “Huck” Malick and the CRM’s Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeth Kublek.

Surprisingly, every single one of the main characters of The Walking Dead: World Beyond made it out of season 1 alive. With that in mind, we should expect all of the main cast members to be returning for season 2. However, don’t be surprised if Ted Sutherland joins the main cast as Percy, along with Joe Holt as Leo Bennett, Jelani Alladin as Will Campbell and Natalie Gold as Lyla Bershaw.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 trailer

There hasn’t been a full-length trailer released for season 2 of The Walking Dead: World Beyond as of yet, primarily because filming has yet to begin. However, upon confirming that the show would return for its planned second season, AMC did release a brief teaser for the upcoming sophomore installment.

What is The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 about?

The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 will seemingly wrap up the show’s overarching story. Though not much is known about the plot yet, we do know that it’s the show’s final season, bringing the TWD Universe miniseries to a close.

From the season 1 finale, it’s clear that the second season will feature more of the Civic Republic Military. Not only did we meet some of the characters in the finale that the show has been teasing for some time, Hope agreed to join Huck to “help” the CRM “save” the future of mankind.

Meanwhile, Silas allowed himself to be captured to protect Elton and Percy, meaning that Kublek will be intending to use him in order to track down and terminate the rest of the gang – something he will no doubt be having none of. And then there’s Huck – who will be torn at the prospect of allowing her mother to kill her friends (like Felix and Iris) and will undoubtedly be faced with a huge decision.
