10 more comic book movie and TV characters with wasted potential

Comic book project: Birds of Prey( and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn)
It looks like Marvel isn’t the only company that kills its villains too soon. In Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, Black Mask was killed at the end of the movie. Was it a memorable death? Sure, but that doesn’t mean it was necessary. Black Mask could have gone on to fight Harley Quinn again, or maybe his face could have become so scarred that he had to wear the black mask permanently (like his comic book counterpart). Or maybe he could have been in the DC Comics universe in another project. Now he’s shark food. Blown up into a bunch of pieces never to be used again. It made for a memorable ending, but it was still shortsighted.
This character shouldn’t have been a one off. Black Mask was one of the bright spots in the new DCEU. What’s even better is that no one thought Ewan McGregor would be as good as he was but he rocked every scene he was in. Watching him go from calm to psychotic was brilliant. Had he come back we could have seen more of this.
There are a finite amount of villains that people will want to see again. Black Mask would have been one of them.
