6. Lacking Jubilation

Comic book project: The X-Men franchise

Admittedly, this writer wasn’t a fan of Jubilee in the 1990s X-Men cartoon but, the majority of people love her. Her jubilant personality (pun intended), bright powers, and mall-rat personality helped people gravitate towards her.

In the comics, she was even better. She had all of the traits from the cartoon, but with better stories. Her adventures alone with Wolverine and with the X-Men are among some of the best Marvel Comics tales. You’d figure that this would be enough for the creators of Fox’s X-Men movie franchise to include her. Sadly, it wasn’t.

The worst part may be how we saw her in the 20th Century Fox universe. Once in a deleted scene in X2: X-Men United and later in a commercial for X-Men: Apocalypse.

In retrospect, maybe not having her was a good idea. We’ve seen that 20th Century Fox mishandle the X-Men over the years. Who knows what they would have done to Jubilee. It’s possible that they would have ruined her character by making her a vampire before we even got to know her or changed her personality altogether. Think about this; what if she became a Horseman of Apocalypse? That would have made zero sense, but something that probably could have happened.

Regardless, Fox missed a grand opportunity not using Jubilee.
