Every upcoming Marvel Studios film and TV show announced at Disney’s Investor Day
Marvel and MCU films announced at Disney Investor Day:
There weren’t many new film announcements at Disney Investor Day when compared to what we got from the television side of the MCU, but that was balanced out by the sheer magnitude of the reveals.
Fantastic Four
That’s right. Two decade-old films and a reboot later, the Fantastic Four are finally coming to the MCU, helmed by Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home director, Jon Watts. The director imbued Spidey’s corner of the MCU with a whimsical tone that made his films a joy to watch, so we can’t wait to see what he will do for Marvel’s First Family.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania
Now, admittedly, we already knew Ant-Man 3 was coming, but the film received a big spotlight with its title reveal and major casting announcements, which is why we’re putting it on this newly announced-projects list (ok… putting it on the list also gave us an excuse to type the awesome title).
Firstly, we have confirmation that Jonathan Majors, of Lovecraft Country fame, will be bringing Kang the Conqueror to life. Secondly, we now know that Kathryn Newton (Paranormal Activity 4, Big Little Lies, Detective Pikachu) will be playing the young adult version of Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie Lang.
The film will be directed by Ant-Man-franchise veteran Peyton Reed.
Those are all the new projects that were announced during Investor Day, and, we don’t know about you, but it amazes us to see how far the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come since 2008, when Tony Stark first took flight.
