10. Brandon Routh in The Nine Lives Of Christmas

Brandon Routh is a beloved name in the comic book world for a number of reasons. For starters, he played the most underrated Superman of our time in the equally underrated Superman Returns in 2006. He then made himself at home in the Arrowverse, playing Ray Palmer in a guest-role on Arrow before reprising that role for five full seasons on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. And before bowing out, he revisited his most famous role, playing the Kingdom Come Superman in Crisis On Infinite Earths.

Routh plays Zachary in the expertly-titled The Nine Lives of Christmas. Zachary is a firefighter who loves the bachelor’s life. However, when he comes across a stray cat, the pair’s unlikely bond soon brings love into his life as he falls for veterinary student Marilee, making him realize that the bachelor’s life didn’t choose him after all.

9. Chyler Leigh in Window Wonderland

If you need this writer to explain to you why you need to watch a movie with a genius title like Window Wonderland, then you’re on the wrong list. We may as well just stop right now because that is one excellent Christmas movie title.

In all seriousness, the film stars Supergirl‘s Chyler Leigh and, as we’ve come to know over the years through her performances as the incredible Alex Danvers (and on Greys Anatomy as Lexi Grey), the veteran actress effortlessly manages to impress.

She portrays the determined Sloan Van Doren who must compete with her carefree colleague for the job of window dresser at the department store they work at. However, their professional conflict paves the way for some heartfelt feelings, making for a Hallmark love story you absolutely must not miss.
