This week, a new episode of DC’s Swamp Thing airs on The CW. The former DC Universe series has been airing on the network over the past few months and now it’s back for its season finale.
Debuting back in October, the show has been entertaining fans while The CW’s Arrowverse shows remained off our screens.
It has received praise from news fans who hadn’t seen it on the DC streaming service and those who relished the opportunity to rewatch it (and see if The CW made any changes).

The latest episode left fans in shock – both back in 2019 when it debuted and again on The CW – as they all learned that Swamp Thing seemingly wasn’t Alec Holland after all.
Carrying Alec’s remains from the swamp, the creature apologized to Abby for seemingly misleading her. But he too had been misled it seems as he might not be the man he always thought he was – just the swamp’s seemingly supernatural recreation of him.
With the series’ conclusion on The CW, fans will look ahead and hope there’s a chance that The CW will renew the show for a second season. As for what it would be about, we’ll have to watch the finale first to get a better idea.
