What your favorite Marvel and DC comic book characters really want for Christmas

Harley Quinn: Continued evolution
Comic books: Harley Quinn, Batman
Harley Quinn has been on a mission of redemption for a while. Considering everything she did while she was with the Joker, the destination of that mission may be impossible. She’s admitted that herself. However, that isn’t stopping her from trying. In Batman No. 105, she was willing to die to prove that she’s ready to serve her penance in any way necessary. Thankfully, the scene ended with her surviving.
Harley is another character that makes a better hero than villain. Since leaving Joker, she’s become more popular and proven that she can survive on her own. Her seemingly never-ending quest for absolution has helped that. It’s a relatable journey. We’ve all done things that we wish we could take back. Harley more than almost anyone. Despite her past, Harley has proven that everyone can strive to make amends.
Sabretooth: Regaining his nicer personality
Comic book: House of X, X-Men
No one was shocked when Sabretooth became the first person punished in Krakoa (House of X No. 6). He’s one of the few villains that can’t be absolved of their past crimes. However, there was a time when this wasn’t the case. Sabretooth’s violent personality was switched during the comic book crossover Axis. He was on the hero side and did it well. Then, he went to Hell and came back as his old self. Now exiled for killing humans without restraint or remorse, Sabretooth regrets not being the person he once was. At least then he wouldn’t be trapped in the core of Krakoa while everyone else was partying.
