Here is every heavy hitter that has gone up against some of DC’s finest heroes on the big screen in the DCEU ranked from worst to first.

The release of Wonder Woman 1984 means that there have been nine DCEU films so far, and thankfully, the majority of them are incredibly enthralling while others are all kinds of awful. This would also mean that some of the villains that the heroes have gone up against in these cinematic endeavors are executed exceptionally, with others coming off as less than ideal, to say the least.

There has been a fair amount of evildoers making the jump from comic panel to the silver screen, and it’s truly amazing which ones occupy the upper echelons of the intriguing roster and which enemies occur at the bottom of the totem pole. Here are all the villainous personas to occupy an entry in the DCEU in order of most forgettable to top-notch nemesis.

13. Black Mask

The Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) didn’t work out as expected and somewhat underperformed with fans, critics, and at the box office. But one thing that also didn’t land was Ewan McGregor’s take on Black Mask. At no point does this turn present any kind of threatening presence and more so feels like the antics of a rejected Succession character. While the Star Wars Alum makes the best of what he has to work with, it honestly feels like Batman wouldn’t even bother with this guy if he were to return, which hopefully he does not.
