10. Steppenwolf

There is no denying that Justice League is one of the worst superhero movies ever made, and one of the most significant flaws is the villain. Steppenwolf went through several changes before the final result arrived on the big screen, looking like a terrible CGI concoction with derivative motives, dialogue, and a face not even a VFX supervisor could love. There is a chance that the highly anticipated upcoming Snyder Cut of the film releasing on HBO Max could redeem the character, but that’s going to take a lot considering the horrendous take that plagues the memories of fans all over the world.

9. Ares

Wonder Woman stands as one of the better DCEU films, and everything about it is nothing short of phenomenal, with the exception of the movie’s main antagonist. The God of War Ares, who has been portrayed in several forms of media as a menacing force to be reckoned with, is portrayed as a cunning behind the scenes puppet master controlling man to feed his desire for war with a very compelling turn from the very talented David Thewlis. The thing that hurts the ancient Greek god’s evildoers ranks overall is the very uninspired final fight sequence at the end of the film that just ends up being too equally strong forces punching each other’s lights out until one submits. While it superbly showcased Diana’s skills, it made Ares a very forgettable DCEU villain.
