Krrsantan

Then there’s Krrsantan. A ruthless, brutal, and almost unbeatable Wookiee. Like the rest of Doctor Aphra’s crew, he doesn’t have any allegiances to anything except himself and money. In one of the issues, Krrsantan left Aphra and her father to fight a platoon of Stormtroopers. He left her a message saying that if she survives, she still owes him money.  No one in their crew is a good person but they’re fantastic at their job. In their line of work, that’s all that matters – so much so that Aphra understood when they met up again.

Like a lot of Wookiees, Krrsantan was made a slave. That seems horrible (and it is), but Krrsantan wanted to be captured to become better trained – figuring the only way to do that was to join a group of slavers/gladiator trainers led by the Xonti Brothers. To get their attention, Krrsantan killed one of his fellow Wookiees and used them as bait.

While he did volunteer, the Xonti Brothers still treated him like a slave. They even gave Krrsantan cybernetic enhancements to make him easier to sell. What’s funny is that he doesn’t hate his former masters for it. In fact, he says that he owes them a debt for changing his life forever. However, thanking them may not involve a handshake and a gift card. Krrsantan is just as sick as everyone else in Aphra’s crew.
