Spider-Man 3: 5 Amazing Spider-Man actors who should appear in the MCU film

1. Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield has also reportedly signed on to reprise his role as his incarnation of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Far From Home sequel but, again, until confirmed, this Spidey tops our list because he deserves to make an appearance.

Garfield played the titular role in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise for two films but unfortunately was not able to complete his trilogy before the MCU reboot, so the news of his potential return is welcomed.

Whether you prefer Maguire or Holland’s takes, or still love Garfield’s, it would be interesting for the audience to see whether the latter is playing the same version of the character in the Webb series or an alternative iteration.

If it’s the former, fans of Garfield’s portrayal would undoubtedly be interested to find out how his Spidey fared over the years as he might share his own experiences with dealing with serious threats. He could even be a guide to Holland’s Spidey in terms of how to better approach his enemies.

Though again we can only speculate plot details at this point, the film is expected to deal with some kind of reality-altering shenanigans. This could easily allow Marvel to pay homage to previous franchises and create a sense of nostalgia in doing so – something that is clearly working because the public is very curious.

Garfield’s version of the character was beloved for sharing a closer resemblance to the main Earth-616 Spider-Man in the comics in terms of being a bit of an outsider (and his use of mechanical web-shooters) though he was also influenced by his Earth-1610 counterpart. Moreover, his portrayal was a lot wittier than the previous version and possessed great charisma as his superhero identity.

Undoubtedly fans of the Webb film series would love to see Garfield get the chance to appear in that long-awaited third Spider-Man movie by playing a substantial role in Spider-Man 3.
