WandaVision is coming to Disney Plus in the coming weeks but what is the MCU show actually about?

WandaVision is among this year’s most anticipated TV shows. The series is set to make its debut on the Disney Plus streaming service on Friday, January 15 and fans are undoubtedly excited.

The show stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany – both of whom are reprising their roles from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision. It will mark the first offering from the MCU in over a year due to the fact that last year’s planned releases of Black Widow and Eternals were postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

There are a lot of people genuinely intrigued by the show’s unusual premise and that makes the show itself all the more intriguing.

What is the premise of WandaVision?

WandaVision features the return of MCU favorites Wanda Maximoff and Vision as they both find themselves living happily ever after in what appears to be as close to 1960s suburbia as one could get. However, once they realize that they are literally living in an episode of Bewitched, it’s up to the pair to figure out what is really going on.

So what is going on, really? What is WandaVision really about? Those are questions so many people have been asking and the truth is that there is no definitive answer.

What is WandaVision about?

WandaVision‘s plot remains a mystery because the jarring presentation of the show makes it hard to know what’s actually happening. That said, one popular fan theory suggests that Wanda has created an alternate reality in which she and Vision live happily ever after because she’s attempting to process the grief she feels over Vision’s death at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

How many episodes will WandaVision have?

It has now been confirmed that the show will have nine episodes (instead of the initially reported six) and that the first two will air together as a double premiere on Jan. 15.
