Marvel: 10 things we must see from the MCU’s Wolverine
By Mark Lynch
Here’s what we need from Wolverine when makes his MCU debut.
Wolverine may be the character people want to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe more than anyone. He made his debut in 1974, but it took a little while for him to come into his own. He wasn’t that interesting of a character until Chris Claremont gave him layers. As a result, Logan started to show emotions. He cried when his wedding was called off and took Jubilee and Kitty Pryde under his wing. Later, Logan became an Avenger, opened a school, fell in love with Storm (again), and had many other moments that made him more than just a fighter. It’s things like this that make Wolverine as popular as he is.
Marvel Studios will make certain that Wolverine is an improvement from the 20th Century Fox version whenever he makes his debut in the MCU. That’s not to say Hugh Jackman wasn’t good. He absolutely was. However, Logan showed us that he could have been even better had he been given the right material in previous films. Jackman should’ve been near the top of the list of all-time great superhero stars with Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. Hopefully, Marvel Studios will give the next actor all of the tools to surpass his potential.
Coming up, we have 10 specific things that the MCU needs to make happen in order to give us the definitive Wolverine. Some of them are obvious while others may be things you didn’t realize. Let’s begin with his origin.
