3. Wolverine’s rivalry with Cyclops
Then there’s his relationship with Scott Summers. When these two first met, Logan was flirting with his girlfriend Jean Grey and he hasn’t stopped flirting with her since. Every so often, she even accepts his advances which is one of the main reasons why Cyclops and Wolverine are always arguing. Later though, the two fought over what was the right way to treat the young X-Men (Schism). A fight that ended with the X-Men being split into two teams on separate sides of the country.
Despite their constant fighting, they actually love and respect each other. Their rivalry may have stemmed two guys loving the same woman, but it’s evolved since then. On more than a few occasions, Logan has admitted that there’s no one he’d rather have at his side. Cyclops also knows that Logan is the one person he can trust to get a job done no matter what it is. Together, Wolverine and Cyclops have saved the galaxy time and time again. In House of X, the two have even seemed to completely bury that hatchet. Wolverine lives with the Summers’ family on the moon and it looks like both him and Cyclops are in a relationship with Jean Grey.
