2. Horror Vibes

As mentioned in the last slide, the name-drops of both Pietro Maximoff and Ultron had a major effect on Wanda. This led to a very tension-filled scene between her and Geraldine, giving the sitcom themed series some major (and sudden) horror vibes.

In this scene, Wanda was downright terrifying and, in all honesty, it was arguably one of the scariest moments we have seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet. The tension builds slowly in the moment as Wanda discovers Geraldine’s SWORD necklace.

Geraldine’s fear is then evident as she tries desperately to change the subject, and as the scene contrasts with Vision talking to the neighbours about the mysterious woman in their neighbourhood, both Vision and Wanda get the sense that all is not as it seems.

The use of the babies crying as Wanda gets angrier and the confusion Vision experiences when talking with the neighbours makes for a very tension-filled and terrifying moment, with the scene ending coldly as Wanda tells Vision “she [Geraldine] had to go home.”

Wanda looks truly villainous in this scene, and we were left stunned when the credits rolled, leaving us all absolutely ready for what comes next from WandaVision.
