Ra’s al Ghul – HBO Max

Fans know Ra’s al Ghul as the evil eco-terrorist leader of the League of Assassins. But the history of The Demon’s Head began centuries ago in a nomadic Arabic dessert — not as a bad guy. A Demon’s Head film could showcase the rise of a hero who wanted nothing more than to rid the world of evil.

Before becoming the villain to Batman, Ra’s was a scientist looking to make the world a better place. One of his first acts saw him save a dying prince using his newly discovered Lazarus Pit. Unfortunately, the kid went full psychopath and murdered Ra’s wife.

The King blamed Ra’s for turning his son into a murderer and sentenced Ra’s to death. After sitting idle in a cell next to his wife’s corpse, a grateful son of a dying woman set him free. Upon his return home, Ra’s galvanized his men. And slaughtered those responsible for his wrongful imprisonment and the death of his wife.

Ra’s took the throne vowing to rid the world of evil. He founded The Demon, a group of vigilantes ridding the world of evil. His vision expanded to what we know as the League of Assassins. Imagine this story playing out on-screen as a revenge flick, with someone like Riz Ahmed (Venom) playing Ra’s – mind blown.
