Batwoman season 2 introduced a major Batman villain in the latest episode.

Batwoman has returned to The CW for its second season. The Arrowverse show’s latest offering kicked off two weeks back and introduced viewers to a brand new Scarlet Knight. Javicia Leslie took over the reins from predecessor Ruby Rose as newcomer Ryan Wilder borrowed the Batsuit for her own purposes. However, when she became so good at what she did, she decided to keep it. And, just like that, Gotham had a new Batwoman.

That new Batwoman, however, had to battle Gotham’s old foes. As a result, she ended up facing off against one of Batman’s oldest enemies in the latest episode.

Which Batman villain appeared in Batwoman season 2?

Ryan Wilder’s Batwoman faced off against terrifying Batman villain Victor Zsasz in the third episode of Batwoman season 2. The character was portrayed by Alex Morf (who previously appeared in Fox’s Gotham) and he, like his comic book counterpart, had scars all over his body to count his number of victims.

Though he attempted to strike again, his attempts were stopped by Batwoman – who showed up with a new look that Ryan Wilder will continue to sport throughout the remainder of the season.

Taking down a major Batman villain while wearing your own Batsuit is a major right of passage for the Scarlet Knight on the show as this was exactly how Kate Kane’s Batwoman made her official debut when she took out Tommy Elliot in the third episode of season 1.

Ryan already battled and defeated Tommy Elliot/Hush in the first episode of the second season and she fought Alice in the second. With Victor Zsasz down, she will now have to face an even more terrifying Batman villain in the future when Black Mask surfaces.
