2. Wolverine wants to kill a god and Namor’s ultimatum

Comic book: X-Force No. 16

X-Force No. 16 had Quentin Quire, Forge, and Wolverine going to solve a problem in the ocean that was affecting mutants on the island and humans on the ocean. They ended up almost dying (not that it would have made a difference), but being saved by Namor. Namor said he’d fix the problem, but to make sure they didn’t cause any more issues. If they did, he’d “bring down your ridiculous island resort.”

Before that, Logan was making his way to the bottom of the ocean. On his way, he said he saw a god. He wrote, “In its gaze, I was a speck. A meaningless speck. And now I ain’t gonna be able to sleep right… until I kill it dead.”

Why is this important?

First off, Wolverine is really going to try and find this leviathan and kill it. Why? Because he can and he wants to. It’s doubtful that this will be a one shot thing and this writer can’t wait for him to try. That leads us to Namor. Namor won’t like Wolverine messing around in the ocean. He’ll especially not like him killing a sea creature for no justified reason. Even if Logan isn’t the one that starts this fight, at some point the mutants of Krakoa are going to fight Namor and Atlantis. Namor’s comment almost solidifies it.
