This Wednesday, a new episode of Riverdale season 5 airs on The CW. The beloved TV thriller returned two weeks ago for the premiere of its fifth season. Now, it returns with a new episode.
Riverdale made its debut on screens in 2017. The show airs on The CW in the U.S. but it gained wider recognition through its international distribution on Netflix.

This upcoming episode is a major one for Riverdale. “Chapter Sixty-Nine: Graduation” was intended to be the season 4 finale. However, due to the show’s production being shut down last year, that wasn’t able to happen. It will see the core group of characters, including Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) and Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) graduate from Riverdale High.
The show already wrapped up most of the season 4 narratives in the previous episode. Betty and Jughead discovered who The Auteur was and even discovered that their half-brother Charles was a serial killer. Now the pair and their friends will try to graduate in a quiet ceremony before a seven-year time-jump takes them to new beginnings.
The episode is also expected to bid farewell to a major Riverdale character and perhaps even allude to some potential break-ups for the core couples.
