WandaVision’s fifth episode left us with the biggest question of them all, and now we are in need of some MCU answers.

WandaVision is familiar with shocking its viewers. That’s what the Marvel Cinematic Universe show has been doing since it debuted on screens three weeks back.

The Disney Plus show has seen Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) try to enjoy married life in a sitcom world in the town of Westview but it has quickly become clear that not all of what happens in Westview is real.

The most recent episode of the show, however, took WandaVision‘s knack for shocking its viewers that much further. The arrival of Wanda and Vision’s young children, Tommy and Billy, kicked off a new chapter for the two Avengers, but things got much stranger when the pair were able to age rapidly – particularly when they wanted to either avoid or obtain something.

It started an introspective journey for Wanda and, with the pressure from the outside world building and her own world in Westview beginning to crack, she had to face some of the consequences of her apparent actions. However, none of that could prepare us for the jaw-dropping cliffhanger that awaited us in the episode’s closing moments.

5. How did Wanda’s accent return in WandaVision?

When Wanda grew weary of the interference from the S.W.O.R.D. agents outside of Westview, she decided to send them both a message and a warning. Exiting her television energy field, she returned their drone and told them to stay out of her home. However, when she issued her warning, her Sokovian accent returned.

The Wanda we’ve come to know has mostly lost her native accent because of time away from Sokovia and its completely non-existent in the sitcom world. Was its return just a grief-stricken lapse or is there something else going on entirely? Is that even Wanda? Who knows.
